Off the track, Silver Stalker is an exceptionally sweet and easy to handle filly. You can do anything with her, like sit on the floor in her stall, lift up her feet in the pasture without her even being tied up, and give her heaps of cuddles. On the track, her personality does a flip. She becomes aggressively focused on winning, and will do whatever it takes. She likes to do things her own way, but doesn't put up a fuss when her jockey asks her to do something she's not so keen to do. Sylvia absolutely loves the camera and is very demanding of attention when she wins. She even seems to pose in the winner's circle multiple times for the photographers, always looking very beautiful and elegant.

Silver Stalker breaks from the gate well, but at an average pace. She gains speed gradually, settling at the back or towards the back of the field every time, no matter the length of the race or size of field. Unaffected by weather conditions, Sylvia always runs strongly, even in sloppy mud. At about three furlongs to the wire, she begins to creep up, passing tiring horses with ease, and makes her run at the same time as the horses running behind the leaders. Given her immense speed and stunning stamina, the filly is able to outrun her opponents to take the lead. Sometimes, however, Silver Stalker loses will once in the lead and this is what causes her to lose. Her jockey, Sarah Star, is careful to time their run just right so Sylvia runs her hardest all the way to the finish, but as everyone knows, anything can happen in horse racing.
