Cruze likes to be the tough guy. Unlike his dad, who is the strong, silent, deadly type, Cruze is the one who makes sure the attention is all on him. He's often aggressive against his handlers, and when there are particularly fine fillies around, he prances around and does all sorts of crazy things like galloping top speed around his paddock. On the track, though, he is completely ignorant of the female racehorses. He'll treat them just as he treats colts - coldly and indifferently, and also aggressively, given the chance.

Akuma Battlecry was sired by MHS Triple Crown Champion Admiral's Revenge. Akuma made it to Grade Three and won the Wood Memorial Stakes*. He retired early due to an injury. Dusk Runner also made it to Grade Three with no notable wins, but was a close second in the Breeder's Cup Juvenile Fillies* and Unicorn Horn Mile*. She also retired early due to injury.

Cruze breaks fast, and usually leads the field by about one length. He's not worried by other horses running next to him, but he prefers too run ahead of them. If anyone gets in front of him, it's on! He makes his move generally when the rest of the field start moving up, usually at about 2 furlongs to go.
