Xena is a very dominant and often aggressive filly. On the track she needs a strong, experienced rider to keep her in check, because she likes to crowd other horses and force them to back down out of her way by any means necessary. She is often vocal before and after races, drawing attention to herself from people and other horses, especially when she wins. Off the track, she's just the same. Dominant and aggressive, toward people and horses. She is at the top of the pecking order in her pasture group.

She likes to lead by two or more lengths ( although she will grudgingly allow other horses to run next to her as long as she's still a head in front) and stays with the rail for the entire race. She makes her move at the top of the stretch and pulls away like a train.
