KING GEORGE WORKS FOR THE RACING POST TROPHY MANHATTAN ROYALTY WORKS FOR THE OAK LEAF STAKES
King George was about to face the toughest race of his career thus far. The colt was entered in the Racing Post Trophy, a mile long turf race for two year olds. Every other entrant had at least four wins, one was even grade three. George still had only his maiden win behind him, but he'd had nearly two months since his last race to fill out and mature. His times had improved enough during that time to warrant giving him a shot at the big race, and so here he was, putting in the final preparation for it. Blaze rubbed the thoroughbred's neck as he walked onto the turf eagerly. Manhattan Royalty was not far behind them, joining in as he too was working for a big race.
