Flyby is the social butterfly who gets along with just about everyone. She's the first horse to gallop to the gate, whether there's an apple waiting for her or not. She's a happy-go-lucky, playful being with a fun and youthful spirit that instantly improves anyone's mood. But that doesn't stop her being competitive - on the track Flyby turns into a flying fireball of energy. She is confident and gutsy, the perfect combination to support her determination to win. She is much the same in the pasture, always trying to get the others horses to race her when she isn't grazing.

Prancing In The Darkness x Born To Fly
Flyby is born of incredible bloodlines. Her sire Prancing In The Darkness is lesser known, but the grade one stallion is sired by Dancing In The Moonlight and is himself the sire of Hall of Fame mare Dare To Dream. Flyby's G1 dam Born To Fly however was a firecracker on the track and her offspring are every bit as fantastic as she was. She has foaled only two so far - G1 Hall Of Fame mare Born To Soar and G1 Kentucky Derby winner Born To Impress.

True to her personality, Flyby likes to be among the pack when racing. She'll break averagely, and get into position on the forefront of the mid packers to avoid getting boxed in, while still enjoying the company of several other horses in close quarters. Her move for the lead has to be timed just right so she has someone to run with all the way down the stretch. If she gets too far ahead of the other horses, Flyby loses concentration and slows down for her friends to catch up. She races best in close races when it all comes down to the barest nose in determining the winner.
