Aliyana, whose name means 'beautiful girl' in spanish, is certainly a beautiful filly. Not just in looks, either, but in her personality. At home in the stables, she is usually quiet, unless another horse is acting up, in which case she does too. In the pastures she's pretty active, spending at least the first five minutes of her pasture time each day racing around at top speed, particularly if she has an opponent! Then, like any horse, she is content to settle and graze. On the track, Aliyana is fiesty and at times, unpredictable. She sometimes spooks at nothing. Once she gets racing though, she has a really intense desire to beat the other horses, and she won't give up, no matter how much pain she's in or how far ahead the leading horse is.

Belle is spunky like her sire, and sassy like her dam. She has very distinct likes and dislikes; she likes racing, hates the gate, likes people, but hates crowds. When she moves, its like she's just dancing, because it's effortless, graceful, and each of her paces just flow so easily. On the track, she's a little fireball. She dances on her toes in the gate, and is usually last out because of it. But it doesn't bother her, she is naturally a closer, and she takes a little while to get really going. She's not hard to handle; in fact, she very much detests mishbehaving, but when she gets excited, it can take a little while to get through to her.

News Flash was a very versatile racehorse able to run from five to fifteen furlongs on both the turf and dirt. While he wasn't particularly successful, he did compete in a number of large races, and won both his first race, an unrandomized maiden series, and his last race, the Palm Tree Paradise Invitational, a *HOTY selection race. Belle's dam, Deabuelle, was unfortunately retired at age three due to a career ending injury. She was nonetheless a very spirited racehorse, who put her heart out in every race. As a daughter of Hall of Famer True Enough, who has produced many grade one dirt runners (Euphoria [also HOF], Lusitania and Radiance etc), we have reason to believe Flashabelle will also make the grade as a successful racehorse on the dirt.

Belle is slow to break, which doesn't bother her at all because she is naturally a closer and likes to just chill at the back of the back until the homestretch. She takes her position in last to second last place, just cruising behind the rest until about three furlongs, when she begins to creep up on the leaders. The pack then usually spreads out on the final turn, and she takes her position right on the outside, the unseen threat. She has one heck of a drive, and powerfully closes in as the finish draws closer, using every last bit of energy she has until she's over the line.

At the beginning of her two year old season, Tana was unsure what racing was about, despite her excellent times working by herself. She seemed to dawdle in races, leading to bad placings. Then, we taught her how to win. In a mock race on our home track, she suddenly got it. As if someone set fire to her tail, she was off up the track and in the lead in an instant. Now, she is a big ball of fire on the track. Always dancing and prancing when she's supposed to be walking, and always over reacting to each and every cue. She'll go right into gallop when you just ask her to walk if you're not careful. When faced with an opponent, Tana has this focus that can't be penetrated. You wave a hand in front of her eyes and she just sees right through it, her eyes only on her opponent or on the finish line. Off the track though, whether she's in the barn or on galloping on the beach, Tana is just a sweetie. She's quiet and responsive - a little too forward moving at times, but for the most part she's a pretty good ride.

Tana is very powerful and agile too, despite her vast size, but it takes a while for her to get going. She breaks slowly, and brings up the rear of the pack until she gets her feet under her, and then she veers wide on the final turn, unleashing some serious speed and a ground eating stride. She puts on a final burst of speed in the final 1-200m, doing all in her power to get her nose over the wire first..
