Queenie is largely dominant and demanding, but during a very small percentage of her time can also be quiet and gentle. On the track, she requires an assertive and experienced jockey or she won't do a thing her rider asks of her. She has her days when she will do all she can to win, which can include biting other horses and cutting them off, and she has her days when all she's interested in is being difficult. Off the track, she is nearly always difficult to handle and likes to use her teeth on just about anything, from people to leadropes. The miniscule amount of time when she's actually nice to be around is when she's nose deep in her food bucket.

Touch Up didn't do much on the racetrack, but has certainly made a name for himself as a sire, with his offspring including The Devil's Touch, Winning Touch, and Fiery Touch. Royal Assault raced excellently in her two year old season, reaching grade four and placing second in the Breeder's Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf. An injury early in her three year old season forced her early retirement. Calamity Queen is her first foal.

Queenie likes to break fast and race behind the leaders. At the first sign of weakness, she overtakes them and starts putting distance between herself and the rest of the field. If the front runners don't show any signs of slowing down, Queenie makes her move at approximately two furlongs from the finish line with the intention of overtaking and outrunning.
