Streak had just enjoyed a month long break after winning three races in a row. The four year old was in high spirits, and was raring to go. He was due to run in The Wire's Jannock Stakes, which so far looked to be a two horse field. Royal Cadenza's record this year consisted of a sixth place, two thirds and two wins. He was also ready to race after a month's break, and was due to run in the Palabra Stakes, also at The Wire, which had a field of four currently following two scratchings.
