SUNSET CRUSADE WORKS FOR THE WHO'S MORE YOUTHFUL STAKES TRUE FIRE WORKS FOR YUKONITE DERBY RACE TWO
True Fire was well and truly back in full racing form. He'd been returned to them a few months ago, in paddock condition, so it had taken some time. But the four year old colt had lost all the extra weight and was now fit and healthy, ready and raring to race. He was due to run his first start of the season, in fact his first start since October last year, in The Wire's Yukonite Derby Race Two. Today his workout partner was Sunset Crusade. The pair had been workout buddies two years ago, which brought back memories.
Sunset Crusade was so far having a good but not great season. He'd raced seven times, for three wins, three seconds and one third. Marissa was fairly happy with how he was doing, but they had to win their next race - the Who's More Youthful Stakes - for her to be truly happy with how her colt was going.
