Ed is a sweet natured colt, on and off the track, but he is not exactly easy to handle. He is easily excited, and the sounds of the racetrack get him fired up for the race. He loves galloping, and enjoys pushing himself to his limits when faced with a competitor. On the track before a race, you can expect to see him prance and dance the entire way to the gates. During the race, it is easy to see how much he loves it. He gets right in the thick of the field, and when the times comes he blasts away at top speed. The look on his face is priceless - if ever a horse smiled, its Ed. After winning a race, he's the biggest show off there is. He makes a bit of noise on his way to the winner's circle, and then laps up all the attention.

On the final turn he blasts his way out of the pack by going for any gap (usually goes wide) and closes strongly as he sprints for the finish.
