Charis is easy going off the track, but once it's time to race she becomes very competitive and focused. Without someone to race, she often gets distracted easily, and won't do her best in training. Once faced with another racehorse, she's off like a cork out of a bottle. She's not aggressive or mean, and has never bitten, kicked or bucked anyone off. She's really quite a sweetie, although she may accidentally step on your toes if you decide to give her a cuddle from the ground. On the track, she's very competitive. She doesn't go down without a fight, and continues to try even after the finish line to get in front, if she's not the winner.

The Natural is a Hall of Fame Inductee and retired grade one racehorse. He raced on both surfaces, winning races such as the Dream Cup, Breeder's Cup Mile and Breeder's Cup Turf. He retired with a record of 75-34-17-15. Charisma was a grade one dirt racehorse on both the foreign tracks and the GHF tracks. She retired with a record of 99 41-21-15.

Charis has a conservative racing style. She'll break at an average pace, then get a position mid pack, usually on the outside to avoid the scuffles for the rail position. She starts gaining slowly at about the 3 furlong pole or 2.5 pole, depending on the length of the race, then takes off at about the 2 furlongs to go mark. Then she sprints rapidly to the lead, often on the outside to avoid getting stuck behind anyone, hopefully to the win.
