Silence is actually the strong, silent type, until he gets furious. Then he's pretty deadly, aggressive and demanding. Like his siblings before him, he has bite, buck, bolt, kick, rear down on the to-do list, and he'll do them almost religiously. Silence not at all interested in the company of other horses, and may even strike out at them if they touch him. Fillies included. He's not a flirt, he's not a teddy bear, and he most certainly doesn't have a nice bone in his body - but he is a racehorse, and racing is what he loves.

Silent Fury is born of champion bloodlines. His dam Rising Fury was Racehorse of the Year and inducted into the Hall Of Fame, having won many huge races including the Breeder's Cup Classic. By her retirement she had a record of 87-41-24-13. Grand Silence was a grade one racehorse who won over half of his races. His major wins included the Climax Cup, the Full Moon Derby, the Cox Plate and the Breeder's Cup Marathon. He raced on both surfaces, but turf was obviously his favourite, and he passed this on to his son. Grand Silence retired with a record of 47-24-15-4.

Like his dam and siblings through his dam, Silence is a natural born front runner. He breaks from the gate like a rocket, shoots right to the front of the pack, and stays there. If any horse tries to overtake him, he can become violent. For this reason we try to ensure that he remains about two lengths ahead, for the safety of others.
